Se7en Deadly Sins(and a few ways to win)

Ok, so unless you have no intention of getting through to the next round, don’t get on stage and faff, pick a nice song and sing it well (read as: in tune and loudly).
Make sure the song you pick and the way you sing it fulfills all the following, else don’t even bother:
- Pick a song that is lively/dynamic
- Pick a song that suits your age OR one you do REALLY well
- Make sure you know the lyrics (at least most of them, if you have a problem remembering lyrics, pick a song that doesn’t have many)
- Move with the song – means, enjoy it
- Don’t look like a stuffed chicken during the instrumental bits, figure out what you can do here, a couple of options are below:
- Mumble incoherently and nod at the crowd as though they understand you
- Include the audience in your song, make them sing or do other things, they like it when you acknowledge their existence
- Dance or otherwise entertain the audience i.e. juggling, flame throwing, tightrope walking, body painting/piercing, show off your tattoos, snake dance – anything, just avoid the stuffed chicken look
- If all else fails, walk off stage, hide and come back when the singing bit starts again – like I said ANYTHING
Here are a few artists I’d like to see covered this year...
- P!nk
- Katy Perry
- Lady Gaga
- Rihanna
- Adele
- Train
- The Script
- Daughtry
- Bruno Mars
- Far East Movement ft. Snoop Dawg
...and these are a few songs I never want to have to hear ever again in my life, ever:
- Black Velvet
- Hotel California
- I Will Survive
- Zombie
- Summer of 69
- Any Celine Dion
- Any country music
- Anything slow
So that about covers it I think. Of course, these are just my opinions, likes and dislikes. But I am the judge, so...
